30" Mission Bronze & Mica Chandelier
Provenance: This magnificient" and near perfect #7735
not signed, hammered bronze"and new mica chandelier was found in Aspen,
Colorado; having been brought to Aspen from Connecticut for instalation into
a Aspen mansion. This Handel bronze chandelier has been identified as a "real
treasure" by John Bonacolta one of the most knowledgeable Handel &
Tiffany authorities in the United States; as originally being from an early
"Mission" or "Arts & Crafts' turn of the century Lodge
of the 1895-1916 "craftsman" era..
This extremely rare hammered bronze (every bronze piece
is stamped # 7735 on every bronze section) and mica chandelier measures 30"
in diameter and 31 1/2" tall, has 5 short light sockets (3 different
button turn manual light settings) in perfect repair and has been newly rewired
for complete safey. The typical "heavy original chain" and ceiling
Handel brass ceility attachment brings the entire hanging Handel Mission chandelier
to 60".
